  • No Smoking Policy & Alcohol Policy

  • The Monarch Motel DOES NOT and WILL NOT offer our guests Smoking rooms.
  • Any guests that are found to have been smoking in the room (including evidence of cigarette butts or ashes on tables, ash trays (not provided by motel for in-room use, not provided at all in Off-Season/Winter months), floor, bathroom utilities or garbage, WILL BE CHARGED between $100 and $250 cleaning fee. This includes smoking inside of a room briefly before walking outside.
  • The Monarch Motel offers outdoor ash trays ONLY.  These trays may not be brought into any of the rooms, even to empty them into garbage bags.
  • The drinking of alcoholic beverages outside of rooms is not permitted unless inside of a non-transparent plastic cup or mug provided by the motel either in-room or upon request at the main office.
  • General Motel Policy

  • Check-In Hours: 3 P.M. to 10:00 P.M.
  • Check-Out Time: 11 A.M, may be extended to 12 Noon upon request, but no later.
  • Office Hours: 9 A.M. to 11:30 P.M.     10 A.M. to 10 P.M. in Off-Season
  • Quiet Hours: 10 P.M. to 8 A.M.
  • Visitors: Visitors are welcome, but may not be on the property during Quiet Hours.
  • House Rules

    • Zero Tolerance Policy: Service and Accommodations will be refused to or revoked from any person who:
    • Acts in an obviously intoxicated or disorderly manner while on motel property.
    • Shows any signs of possible drug activity, such as cars coming and going to a particular room and leaving shortly thereafter, excessive or unusual foot traffic to a particular room, or any other activity (especially in the middle of the night) deemed suspicious in nature in managements opinion.  In some cases, the police may be called to inquire and/or investigate.
    • Maliciously destroys or threatens to destroy any motel property; causes or threatens to cause a public disturbance.
    • Refuses to or is unable to pay for the accommodations or services at time of check-in.
    • Negligently or intentionally causes damage to the motel, furniture or furnishings within the motel, and shall be liable for any and all damaged sustained by the innkeeper, including the motel's loss of revenue resulting from the inability to rent or lease rooms while said damage is being repaired.
  • Room Inventory: Items in rooms are inventoried during every check-out.  Any missing or damaged items will be charged to the card on file.  All rooms, even those rented for extended periods of time, upon check-out must be in as close to original condition as possible.  For a itemized price list of room inventory, please ask at the Front Desk.
  • Lost/Damaged Keys: $10 Fee per key
  • Emergency Maintenance: Management reserves the right to enter any room at reasonable hours for emergency maintenance.  Only electrical, water, sewage and phone service loss are covered. Loss of television or internet access does not constitute an emergency situation. Guests are asked to not attempt to fix any maintenance issues themselves. Water leaks present a financial risk for the motel. Guests may not prevent management from entering the room in emergency situations.
  • Cooking Policy: Every room in our motel includes a Mini-Fridge, Microwave and 4-Cup Coffee maker.  Guests may not use their own cooking devices within any room of the motel, nor may they use any open flame cooking device outside of the rooms or in the parking lot.
  • Bikes: Allowed. Not permitted in rooms or on walkways. Bikes must be locked to a mount on your vehicle or on the motel provided bike rack (if available).
  • Payment Policy

  • Payment Methods: Cash, Master Card, Visa, Discover Card, American Express, Travelers Checks, PayPal and BitCoin
  • Security Deposit for Walk-In Guests: Guests checking in without a previously arranged Reservation AND are not paying via Credit or Debit Card may be required to include a $50 Security Deposit, refundable at Check-Out after a room inspection.
  • Sorry, No Personal Checks
  • Photo ID: Required at discretion of management.
  • Taxes: 8% Tax ( 6% State Tax & 2% Local Tax )   Taxes already included in all listed prices
  • Business & Senior Discounts: $5 for each Nightly Rental. These discounts not applicable to Weekly and Monthly rentals, as Weekly and Monthly rentals are already discounted.
  • Special Offers

  • Offers do not combine with other Offers or Discounts. Largest discount will always apply.
  • Group Rates: $5-off each room & each night for rentals of 3 or more rooms.
  • Business & Senior Discounts: $5 for each Nightly Rental. These discounts not applicable to Weekly and Monthly rentals, as Weekly and Monthly rentals are already discounted.
  • Reservations Policy

  • Confirming Reservations: Must be done over the phone. Room will be held for your exclusive occupation, barring any 'No Show' related circumstances..
  • All guests must be registered at check-in
  • All guests are encouraged to inspect their room before finalizing their Check-In.
  • Un-registered Occupants: Additional charge of $10.00 per night per un-registered occupant discovered to be in the room.
  • Occupancy Limit: No more than 4 total occupants per 1-Bed room, and no more than 5 per 2-Bed room. (includes children)
  • Occupancy Amendments: Additional occupants may be added or removed (but may not exceed the Occupancy Limit for the room). Prices will immediately increase or decrease.
  • Holiday Reservations Policy

  • Rate Changes: Subject to change at discretion of management. Does not effect advance reservations confirmed over the phone
  • Span of Holiday: Holiday Rates are in effect the day before, the day of and the day after select US Holidays (3 total days). These Holidays include, but may not be limited to: New Years, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
  • Minimum Nights: 2 Night minimum for all Holidays and Holiday weekends. Restriction lifts if the Holiday period begins within 72 hours (3 days).
  • Cancelation Fees: Fees doubled. $30 per canceled room.
  • Weekly Rental Policy

  • Weekly rates are based on total number of Adult occupants, up to a maximum of 2 Adults to a One-Bed Room and 4 Adults to a Two-Bed Room.
  • Weekly rates are "discounted" from the Nightly rates and are considered valid only if staying for a full 7 days. Checking out early will void the discounted rate, and the final rate will be owed to the motel based on the number of Nights stayed.
  • NO SMOKING: Smoking is PROHIBITED for all Monthly Rentals. This is a State Law and is non-negotiable. Any violation of this policy will forfeit the Security/Damage Deposit and the guest will be required to leave before the next Rental Period.
  • Dates Available: We offer weekly rates year round. All weeks consisting of a Holiday are an additional $50 and must be paid 1 week prior.
  • Rental Period: 7 Nights, Monday - Sunday, 3:00PM on the first day to 11:00AM the day after the 7th night.
  • Rental Pro-rating: If checking-in during the middle of the week or a weekend, the remainder of that week will be charged. The value of this Pro-Rate is 75% that of the normal Nightly rates.
  • Security Deposit: $100.00 Cash-only each week, refundable only at check-out. Deposits transfer between weeks.
  • Payment Methods: Same methods as stated in Payment Policies. Cash required for Deposit.
  • Rent Due Date: Before 11:00AM Monday each week.
  • Late Fees on Rent: $10 non-refundable fee per day late if rent is not paid before the Due Date stated above.
  • Pets: No pets allowed for Weekly rentals. No exceptions.
  • Occupancy Limit: No more than 4 total occupants per One-Bed room, and no more than 5 per Two-Bed room. (includes children)

  • PERSONAL MAIL: All mailings must have the Room Number clearly marked in the address for timely mail delivery. After check-out, we will hold any mail for the guest for up to 7 days, after which time all mail will be marked "Return to Sender"
  • Housekeeping Services: Full housekeeping services available every Wednesday & Friday. Guest may request housekeeping during the week, if available, at $10 an hour.
  • Room Assessment: Room must be assessed at the end of each Rental Period at the moment of payment. This assessment includes heating equipment, security and safety devices, bathroom fixtures, cooking equipment and the presence of smoking (tobacco or otherwise).
  • Monthly Rental Policy

  • Monthly rates are based on total number of Adult occupants, up to a maximum of 2 Adults to a One-Bed Room and 4 Adults for a Two-Bed Room.
  • Monthly rates are "discounted" from the Nightly rates and are considered valid only if staying for a full month (28,29,30 or 31 days, depending on the month). Checking out early will void the discounted rate, and the final rate will be owed to the motel based on the number of Nights/Weeks stayed.

  • Cancellation Policy

  • Off Season (Fall-Winter): 24-Hour (1 Day) Cancelation Period
  • In-Season (Spring-Summer): 48-Hour (2 Day) Cancelation Period
  • Holidays: 72-Hour (3 Day) Cancelation Period
  • Cancellation Fee: $15.00 if cancellation is made after the Cancellation Periods above. Holiday cancelation fees are double.
  • Cancelation Fees are 'Per-Room': If a guest books and cancels 3 rooms after the Cancelation Period had passed, that guest would be charged a $15 fee for each room (totaling $45, $90 for holidays)
  • 'No Show' Policy & Fee: Unless otherwise notified of a delay in arrival, any guest that does not arrive at the motel during Office Hours will be charged a 'No Show' fee equal to the first full night.
  • Nullification of 'No Show': If a guest arrives after a 'No Show' fee has been charged, they will be offered the same or identical room if available, and the 'No Show' fee will be deducted from the room rate.
  • Early Departures: No refunds available for Early Departures, departures due to inclement weather, family emergencies, failures in service of local utility providers (power, internet, television, phone, water and sewage).
  • Wi-Fi Acceptable Use Policy

  • Piracy Zero-Tolerance: If it is discovered that any of our guests has been downloading software or media illegally (via services like LimeWire or BitTorrent), that guest or guests will be asked to leave with no refunds of their stay or security deposit.
  • We Report Copyright Infringement: If we receive, at any time, a "Notice of Copyright Infringement" notice from Charter Communications (our internet provider) AND we are able to determine the exact guest that took part in the infringement, the Monarch Motel will send that guests contact information (name, address & phone) to both Charter and to the copyright holder that issued the notice. We take Copyright Infringement very seriously as Charter can revoke our Internet access due to illicit customer actions.
  • We Support Free & Subscription Media: There are many media providers online that offer free or subscribable content. Such providers include YouTube, TWiT.tv, Revision3, IGN, 1Up, No Agenda Show, Hulu, and Mevio. Subscription or legally purchaceable content providers includes Apple's iTunes, Microsoft's Zune Marketplace, Netflix and more.
  • Internet access at the motel is complementary, but not a necessity, and the Monarch Motel has the right to refuse and/or block a guests access if the need arrises.
  • Pet Policy

  • A pet must be declared before or at Check-In.  Failure to do so will result in a $15 non-refundable fee in addition to normal $5 per night pet fees.
  • Pet only allowed in registered room and may NOT be left unattended in rooms or vehicles.
  • Pet Fee: $5.00 per night
  • Total Number: No more than 1 pet per room
  • Pet Size: No more than 12 pounds
  • Length of Stay: No longer than a 4 night stay. No pets for Weekly or Monthly renters
  • Must be leashed while outdoors
  • Pets are NOT ALLOWED on Beds or Furniture at anytime.  You will be charged additional cleaning fees for damages or cleaning services incurred to motel property by your pet.
  • Failure to follow the Pet Policy will result in the owners and their pet being asked to leave without refund.  Following our Pet Policy will greatly ensure in keeping our motel a pet friendly motel into the future.
  • The Monarch Motel will not be held responsible for any injury caused by your pet to any guest or motel staff member and said damage or injury will be the SOLE RESPONSIBILITY of the pet owner.
  • Law Enforcement Policy

  • If Law Enforcement (City, County, State or other) is ever called to the motel due to a disturbance involving you, your guests or your visitors for any reason, you may be asked to leave the motel immediately with no refund.
  • Parking Policy

  • Spaces per Room: 1
  • Additional Spaces: $10 per night
  • Trailers/Boats: Limited space, first come first serve. Additional space in yard behind motel.
  • All trailers, motorhomes and campers must be declared at reservation.
  • Guests must park in their designated parking spaces. Parking spaces are clearly marked with their associated room number.
  • “No Parking” areas are clearly marked and are enforced. These zones are located in areas with a potentially high flow of guest traffic.
  • Guests and visitors must move their vehicles when asked by management.
  • Park at your own risk. The Monarch Motel is not responsible for any damage caused by other guests or in-town traffic.
